Designing one’s own corporate identity is a challenge for every agency. The standards are high and time is short. It was not different for us, but we decided to take this time. We have developed a design that reflects the way we work: with a clear message, a structured working style and playful details. The media are bold in terms of their colours. At first glance, they seem conventional or reduced, but if you look closer, you will see that they are well thought out right down to the last detail.
Our corporate design is inverted. It works on a black or a white background, depending on the intended purpose. If the focus is on us as a company, we choose black. If the focus is on work done for a client, we choose white. We step out of the limelight because it is our clients who are important here, not us.
Our corporate identity is factual yet still playful, and this is also reflected by our choice of colours. It is characterised by stark contrasts – black and white, red and neon orange. The neon orange is mixed specially for our print products, as there is no special colour that is radiant enough for us. During a press proof with our printing company, we tested various colour mixing ratios until we found the perfect hue. The result is the BOURDONNÉ DESIGN neon orange.
